STEPS TO MAKE MODULAR PVC SWORDS (dagger demo)

I always start with making a dagger. It is exactly the same process as making a sword, just smaller, so it is a great way to learn all the basic skills needed to make a modular PVC sword without as much trouble of duct tape folding over on itself or foam slipping out of place. Once you have all the supplies needed you can begin below. Note: The above list is everything you will need, but the size is different (1/2" Schedule 40 is only 16" long and the pipe insulation only needs to be 2 feet).

BLADE MAKING

#0: Start by measuring out your PVC and strips of 1X1 block foam. Your Schedule 40 PVC should be 16" long and the strips of block foam should be cut to 9" each

#13: Repeat steps 3-12 for the other side to make a double bladed weapon.
#14: To make the tip, begin by cutting out triangles of block foam.
#15:
#16: Repeat on both sides and use a thin packing tape or scotch tape to secure them in place- it is only a temporary hold, as when it is covered with duct tape it will be fully secured.
